It's Spring 2019! And It's Time To Go Fishing for Crypto!
It’s spring, 2019 and I can’t help but reminisce about fishing. I’ve spent a many days scrambling to get my tackle, planning my weekend excursions, and waiting for the big bite. It’s a thrill that is hard to describe. There’s an almost indescribable feeling you get waiting for a bobber to sink.... and when it happens, and you’re reeling in your catch... it’s just something you can’t get enough of. Whether you’re fishing on the bank or from a boat... the rush is the same, the calmness before the strike is the same, and when you catch the big one, it’s something you will remember for the rest of your life...
And such is the case with today’s cryptocurrency markets. It’s like a new lake with new species of fish, waiting to be caught. Various technologies abound in these waters. We need only cast out our lines and wait. But it gets even better.... We’re not fishing for our dinner. We’re fishing for the big one... We’re fishing for a catch that could
very well change our lives. The beauty of it is that we don’t have to catch all the fish at the same time. We’re catching our store of fish and putting them in the freezer. We’re going to hodl (hold for the long term) our crypto. We’re not in any rush. Just store it up... and wait for the cryptocurrency to increase exponentially in value. That’s the big one!
HODL is not a new concept... The ultra wealthy have been doing it for a long time. They accumulate as much stock as they can, saving it for a rainy day... and even collect dividends from time to time. They do this year after year with no intention of selling to make a quick buck. It’s an almost fool proof way to build wealth. They purchase real estate and leverage them for passive income. They master the tax code and figure out exactly how to pay the least amount they can get away with. They are master fishermen who have spent years honing their craft ensuring their survival for years to come.
Once you get into fishing, you find out that you don’t have to wait till spring. You can fish all year around. Certain fish bite more during the winter than in the spring... Some fish really get spun up in the summer. You learn what you can catch as you gain experience... Similarly, with cryptocurrency, you learn what effects the price of the currency. You learn how media hype can push the price of a crypto up over the course of a week. You learn that there will be profit taking briefly following a run, and you can take advantage of it. You learn that ultimately, a cryptocurrency’s underlying project is truly the base of it’s value. You learn that the leadership guiding the project and their ability to build partnerships and adoption is the key to the project’s growth and ultimately the increase in the project/coin’s value.
